What happens when a bidder prices less of the scope than everyone else
Unpriced items are the reason two totals cannot simply be set side by side — and levelling them is the judgement an estimator makes by hand on every tender.
The problem
A supplier leaves eight items unpriced. Their column still adds up — to a smaller number than everyone else's — but it is not a like-for-like figure: it buys less work. Until those gaps are priced the totals are answering different questions.
The scope doesn't disappear. It returns later as variations, at whatever rate the supplier quotes then.
What NazmIQ does
Every unpriced item is filled with the rate from the most complete quote, and the cell is shaded so the borrowed figure is never mistaken for something the supplier offered. Ranking uses that levelled total; the as-quoted total stays beside it.
The report names the supplier each rate came from, counts the gaps per bidder, and warns you outright when more than half of a levelled total is imputed rather than quoted.

A comparison is only finished when the decision behind it can still be explained. These three are recorded on every comparison — nobody has to remember to do them.
The weighting, dated
Your weights are recorded with the date they were last changed and checked against the quotations' own issue dates — so the report can say whether the criteria were fixed before any quote arrived.
Does the ranking survive?
Every weight is moved ten points either way and the ranking recomputed. If the winner holds, the report says by what margin; if one move changes it, you are told which criterion did it.

Each priced cell names the supplier's own line it came from — description, unit, quantity, the rate before conversion, and any factor applied. Checking a figure takes seconds.

Common questions
How accurate is the extraction?
AI extraction is fast but not infallible. The Traceability sheet links every extracted figure back to the supplier's own line, so review and audit are quick. Always check figures against the source documents before making a commitment.
What does "levelled" mean?
When a bidder leaves items unpriced, NazmIQ fills them with the rate from the most complete quote and shades the cell, so every total covers the same scope. The ranking uses the levelled total; the as-quoted total is shown beside it.
What if a quote doesn't say whether VAT is included?
A quotation that doesn't mention tax is treated as excluding it, and the default rate from your settings is added. The report says so for that supplier, so you can confirm before award.
Can suppliers quote in different currencies?
Yes. Each quotation keeps its own currency and everything is converted to your reporting currency at the rate printed on the report.
